Yes, Junseigoi Koi Food is that good!  'Junsei' means pure and all the ingredients are tested, approved and certified for use in human food chain production. Yes literally good enough to eat - but your koi will like it better.

The Junseigoi food range is designed specifically for Koi and distinguishes itself through very high nutrient absorption and digestibility. Only high quality protein sources are used and this guarantees that even with lower feed rates the nutrients absorbed are sufficient for the fish. Additionally the food will be loved by your Koi and thus enthusiastically eaten.

 The four different Junseigoi food blends can be fed in water temperatures down to 8°C - simply feed the blend that suits your water temperature. Your Koi will then get a balanced diet maintaining their optimum health while the high digestibility helps enhance water clarity and quality.  There is even a food mix for your baby fish!

Junseigoi uses only the very best ingredients beneficial to koi: High quality fish flour from whole herring, pure herring oil as well as different koi specific cereals, along with vitamin and trace elements. This means that there is no need to add any other vitamin or mineral supplements. Junseigoi is blended toward the natural feed preferences of Koi and thus is quickly accepted by them.

Produced in Germany with pure ingredients in compliance with the feed ordinance for human food chain consumption, it contains no hormones, genetically modified products or meat flour. Freshness of the feed is guaranteed through stringent production control methods.

Junseigoi is made in 5mm pellets for all the floating food mixes. The special sinking food Energy is a 3mm size and the Junior pellet is from 0.9mm to 1.2mm. The pellet sizes have been chosen to optimise the feed distribution to the fish. The 5mm pellet in the floating ranges means that the larger fish can feed without taking all the food before the smaller fish get their share, the 5mm pellet still being small enough for all but the very smallest fish to take comfortably. The smaller pellet also means that fish spend longer at the top feeding or larger fish come to the surface more times to get their full satisfaction. This helps the fish remain active and fit and gives the Koi Keeper the benefit of seeing and enjoying more of their beloved fish.

Excellence

The Super food of the range enhanced with extra Spirulina. For use in water temperatures above 20° C, this excellent food gives koi improved depth of colour and skin lustre.

Season

Is a floating growth food that can be used through most of the year. It can be fed in Autumn down to water temperatures of 12° C and again in the Spring from 15° C upward.

Power

A floating food for the colder periods of Autumn and Spring. Where fish are still active it can be fed in water temperatures down to 8°C.

Energy

A sinking food specifically designed for the colder parts of the year. Can even be fed in Winter in water temperatures down to 8° C where it encourages koi to bottom feed.

Junior

Provides an optimised nutrient absorption and impressive growth of brood fish.

Junseigoi Excellence

A premium floating food Junseigoi Excellence contains 10% Spirulina, which improves the skin condition and enhances the purities of the fish colours. Spirulina not only has high protein content but also is also well known as a multi-vitamin supplier. The high quantities of unsaturated fatty acids in Junseigoi Excellence support the optimal health of the koi. Growth of the fish is promoted by the high-energy content and the maximised nutrient absorption from this superb food.

Feeding-recommendation:

In water temperatures of 20°C or above feed several times daily as much food as the Koi will eat within 5 minutes. In order to offer the koi a diversified diet we recommend alternating Junseigoi Excellence with Junseigoi Season on a daily or weekly basis.

Junseigoi Season

Junseigoi Season is a floating growth food that can be fed throughout the main season. It contains all vital vitamins, minerals and trace elements for healthy development of the Koi. Junseigoi Season was produced specifically for Koi that are kept in the somewhat cooler European climates.

Feeding-recommendation:

Junseigoi Season can be fed down to water temperatures of 12°C in the autumn. In the spring it can be fed from 15°C upward, in both cases it should be offered in small quantities at the lower temperatures. From 20°C upward the fish can be fed normally (up to 2% of body weight per day). In order to offer the Koi a diversified diet we recommend (from 20°C+) alternating Junseigoi All Season with Junseigoi Excellence to give the fish that extra boost from this supreme food.

Junseigoi Power is a floating energy food especially suited for feeding as the fish become more active in Spring or as the cooler Autumn days begin to lower water temperatures. All vital vitamins, proteins, minerals and trace elements are contained in Junseigoi Power so that the Koi are optimally prepared for the long winter period. Fed with Junseigoi Power the koi store vital fat reserves that help them through the coldest winter months. BioMos yeast cultures are added to the feed to provide protection against bacterial and viral infections of the digestive tract and aid digestion at lower temperatures  

Feeding-recommendation:

Autumn and Spring: From water temperatures of 8°C, it can be fed at 0.5% of the fish weight per day. (e.g. at 8°C 10kg of koi = 50gm of food per day) As the water warms, the feed ratio can then be increased by 0.05% per °C temperature increase. From a water-temperature of 18°C upward, (now 1% of body weight per day) the feed ratio can be increased by 0.2% per °C increase up to 2% of body weight per day. Reverse the ratios as water temperatures decrease.

All vital vitamins, proteins, minerals and trace elements are contained in Junseigoi Energy so that the Koi are optimally prepared for the long winter period. Fed with Junseigoi Energy the koi store vital fat reserves that help them through the coldest winter months. BioMos yeast cultures are added to the feed to provide protection against bacterial and viral infections of the digestive tract and aid digestion at lower temperatures. The 3mm Junseigoi Energy pellets sink to the pond bottom and thus perfectly suits the natural eating habits of carp thus minimising unnecessary energy consumption. As the water warms in the Spring the immune system of the fish is slow in responding compared to the increase of pathogenic bacteria and parasites. Feeding Junseigoi Energy at this critical time helps boost the metabolisms of the fish by providing a source of energy-rich nutrition.

Junseigoi Junior 

Junseigoi Junior provides optimised nutrient absorption and gives impressive growth of brood fish. BioMos yeast cultures are added to the feed in order to make digestion easier and more efficient. Because of these yeast cultures the young fish use less energy in digesting the food and thus optimise the nutrient value. This high digestibility also means that water pollution from the fish waste is comparatively low allowing high feed rates. The small pellet size of 0.9 to 1.2mm means that even small brood fish comfortably take Junseigoi Junior   

Feeding recommendation:

Throughout the day feed many times with small quantities. Balance the food given against the fish demand, being extremely careful not to over feed. Since brood fish are more susceptible to water pollution, we recommend regular checking of water values and control through effective filtration.
