(Seals concrete ponds).
For all cement
and concrete construction we recommend using Fibrin additive in the mix.
This greatly
increases the strength of the concrete and allows for
stronger mixes
with better waterproof qualities.
Fibrin 623: -
Concrete
is a highly diverse material and superb for koi pond construction. However it
requires strengthening in order to cope with the stress and enormous weights
associated with ponds. Untreated concrete without reinforcing is prone to
cracking and fracturing. Conventional high tensile steel reinforcing is
expensive and difficult to use. Plastic reinforcing fibers are easy to us but
leave the surface with millions of sharp points that require removal to make the
pond safe for fish.
Fibrin
solves all these problems. When applied in concrete or a render it leaves the
surface smooth and protrusion free.
Extremely cost effective 1 kg of Fibrin is sufficient for 1 cubic metre of
concrete. Each 1kg pack comes with instructions the most important of which is
to ensure it is properly entrained within the mix.
G.4. Pond Seal
is a moisture-cured polyurethane,
which forms a
non-porous surface on concrete and seals out lime.
It can be
applied in poor weather conditions,
high humidity
and at temperatures down to 0°C.
